Tuan Bor in Myanmar
We met Tuan Bor when she was studying at Hanil University here in Jeonju. She stayed in Korea for a year to acquire her Masters of Theology degree. Now she is back in Myanmar, where she is busy giving seminars and ladies workshops, and caring for a handful of children, using the donations we send her each month.
Engaged in the mission of Christ, very directly...very cool!
We send her 220,000 Korean won each month. Sometimes people give a little more, sometimes less. It seems to balance out. It would be nice to increase the monthly payment. To do this, we would like to have a few more people commit to giving regularly.
A donation does NOT need to be a large gift, just faithful every month, so she can depend on it!
We just sent Tuan bor 275,000 won to buy a camera. The idea is that we can see who we are helping.

Right now, we have 120,000 won extra in savings. Tuan Bor's next "big ticket item" is transportation.
We are researching options, but it looks as though she will need a scooter which will cost about
900,000 won with licensing and a little money for gas and maintenance repairs.
Since that goal has just been reached (Nov. 19), we will begin saving the trickle of surplus funds for
the next project: a scooter.
Miss Bor visits many remote villages in the mountainous Chin region of Myanmar.
She brings Bibles and Hymnals and teaches classes. The roadways are too rough for a car, so a mule or scooter are the
best options.
Myanmar is officially closed to the gospel. Her activities and the actions of her church are not
welcome by the regime that thinks it is in power.
