Missions Ministry Team

Basic overview

Becoming Missions-Minded

“Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy!” (Ps 67:3-4)

God has a heart for all nations and all peoples on earth, and because of this we strive to build up and train people for short term missions trips or possibly to consider becoming a full-time missionary.

Pray for the nations.

The greater Antioch church in Jeonju, of which we are a part, is world-renowned for its missions sending capacity, and as a part of Antioch church, we hope to help further its vision for missions among the international community in Jeonju.

In this ministry team, we try to help the AICF ministry as a whole become more "missions-minded." Although this team is currently in development, we have a number of hopes and goals that we would are working hard to see through.

Aaron Snowberger and Angela Heibert are working together to plan for the missions team.  If you are interested in getting involved with the missions team, please contact Aaron or Angela.

God's Heart for the Nations

Let the Nations Be Glad

John Piper writes in Let the Nations Be Glad that worship is the ultimate goal of the church and that proper worship drives missionary outreach. He describes prayer as the fuel of missions work because of its focus on a relationship with God rather than the needs of the world. He goes on to illustrate that while suffering is the price of missions, God is worthy of any sacrifice.

Team Goals

Prayer for the nations

We are working to monthly present a different nation and prayer requests for that nation within the AICF worship service.

Current nation we are praying for can be found HERE.

Equiping people to go

We are currently in the process of ordering several copies of John Piper's Let the Nations Be Glad which we will study with the missions team.

Other opportunities to learn more about missions will be Pastor Bill's upcoming Mexico mission training classes.

Give a missions experience

One of our longer reaching goals is to give every foreign teacher an opportunity to experience a short term mission at some point within their year of living in Korea.

This can include short trips within Korea, or possibly longer trips within nearby Asian countries.
